CLASSICAL FUSION
-“Elliot Rosoff and Friends” present works of “Classical Fusion,” a term well-known violinist Elliott Rosoff uses to describe a kind of music-making he has championed for more than a decade. It involves combining acoustical and electronic instruments in performances of classical repertoire. Rosoff has performed in solo and chamber music programs at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall in New York. Although classically trained, Rosoff’s resume lists almost as many Broadway and pop gigs as it does symphonic and chamber music engagements. A resident of Pike County, Rosoff has recently created an evening of magic in the Great Hall at Grey Towers. At Lacawac, “Elliot Rosoff and Friends” offer a wonderful, eclectic program for music lovers of all ages.
Followed by a catered buffet supper at the Lodge. Reservations are required. “Performance” only $25, “Performance” and Supper $45 (RSVP by 7/25), Series of three (Performance and Supper) $100.

Tony, Rap and Dan, are three good friends who enjoy the musical synergy of blending acoustic instruments with three-part harmonies. Old enough to qualify as ‘geezers’ but too young to be willing to admit it, the trio hails from Northeast Pennsylvania where they are fortunate enough to be gainfully employed (doing things other than playing music) and so can make music entirely for the pleasure of it. Their repertoire includes a mix of folk, bluegrass, old-timey, gospel, blues, Texas swing, and even the occasional sea chantey. For more about the Geezers visit young-geezers.com. $5M/$8NM. Children 12 and under free.
