This charming and melodic folk, gospel and bluegrass trio have been filling the house here at Lacawac for the past four years. We don’t have to go into great detail, as most of you know them well! They are back because our Lacawac friends, members and neighbors all love hearing them. Enjoy a collection of America’s greatest music – so many of the songs you know and love! Something new, something old, and something different each time they visit! An evening of America’s musical roots done in fine harmony and played unplugged on classic acoustic instruments.
TMA Songwriter of the Year in 2010 & 2011 A memorable evening of music as a highly acclaimed Austin, Texas (that’s right – the best come from Austin!) singer-songwriter brings his country/western/blues sound to Lacawac. Described by the press as a combination of Townes Van Zandt, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson sums it up! Kevin will pump up the Carriage House playing an evening of his own compositions about life and its struggles along the lonely, dusty back roads of Texas. Guest -Barbara Malteze.
Arts Alive - Classical Music Fund Raiser w/Jay Steveskey & Jason Smeltzer Introducing “The Theremin” A Lacawac musical evening! Something new and different - Jay (a Lacawac favorite) on the classical guitar accompanied by Jason on the very rare and unique “Theremin.” The theremin is an early forerunner to the synthesizer and it is played hands free. Performance, Q&A, and meet and greet are followed by an optional formal sit down dinner in the beautiful old dining room of the lodge. Reserve early. Show tickets may be sold at the door also but only if space permits. Tickets: Show Only - $15 w/optional Dinner $40 Dinner tickets must be reserved and prepaid. Saturday August 11, 5PM - Show
