Program Policies & FAQ

Online registration is required for all public programs. We are unable to accept registrations by phone, email, or in person.

Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. the day before each program. Registration is not available after the deadline.

Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, or cancel a program due to low registration (fewer than 10 participants), weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. Participants will be notified by email as soon as possible if a program is changed or canceled.

If a Program is Canceled: If Lacawac cancels a paid program, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

If a Program Is Rescheduled: If a paid program is rescheduled or postponed, your registration will automatically transfer to the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, you may choose to:

  • Donate your registration fee to support Lacawac’s mission, or
  • Receive a credit toward a future Lacawac program.

No action is needed if you are able to attend the rescheduled date.

If You Are Unable to Attend: Program registration fees are non-refundable if a participant is unable to attend a program. Refunds are only available when a paid program is canceled by Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation.

As a nonprofit organization, Lacawac incurs credit card processing fees when registrations and refunds are processed. These fees reduce the funds available to support our programs. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting Lacawac’s mission.

After registering for a program, you will receive email reminders and updates using the email address provided during registration. These emails may include important information about the program, including schedule or location changes, weather-related updates, reminders, and other details you may need to know before attending.

Please make sure the email address you provide during registration is accurate and check your inbox, including your spam or junk folder, for messages from Lacawac.

Age recommendations vary by program. Some programs are designed for families and participants of all ages, while others may be better suited for adults, older children, or specific age groups based on the program’s content, activities, or physical requirements.

Program fees vary by program and may differ for Lacawac members, non-members, and veterans, active-duty military, and first responders. Available pricing options are listed with each program.

Lacawac members receive discounted pricing on eligible programs. Veterans, active-duty military members, and first responders may be eligible for complimentary registration or special pricing on select programs.
