Contest Rules:

  • All photos must be taken at Lacawac Sanctuary or Browning Beaver Meadow Sanctuary.
  • Entries of all types are welcome, including: landscapes, macro, wildlife, plants, and people enjoying nature. Your subject can be anything as long as it is appropriate and connected to nature.
  • Submissions are limited to photos taken during the spring. We encourage you to submit photos taken in 2026.
  • This contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers.
  • Photos must be taken by the person entering the contest.
  • There is no limit on the number of photo entries.
  • Limit your photo editing to basics.
  • Please do not include watermarks, logos, or text on your photos.
  • Please submit high-quality versions of your photos, so we can accurately showcase your work! Submissions should be suitable for printing at 8 x 11 inches without degrading quality (recommended minimum of 300 pixels/inch).
  • By entering this contest, you grant Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation permission to use your photo(s) in social media, newsletters, and promotional materials. Proper credit will be given if and when your photo is used by us.

How to Enter:

  • The final day to submit your photo(s) is May 31st, 2026 at 11:59pm EST.
  • To submit your photo(s) please email [email protected].
  • In your email, please include your name, location photo was taken, and your social media handle (if applicable).

Prizes:

The top 3 photo contest winners will be awarded with Lacawac merchandise. Additionally, the winning photos will be featured in Lacawac’s newsletter as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages @lacawac.
